New Zealand Culture
To begin our Rugby World Cup unit we have been looking at Culture - and what we think of when we talk about the culture of New Zealand. We looked at things like: jandals, fish and chips, warm summers, paua, koru, wine,rugby, All Blacks, sport, gumboots and the buzzy bee etc. After much discussion we came to the conclusion that this was all Kiwiana.
We then looked at what could be the culture of Wanaka. We came up with things like the mountains, fun, skiing, swimming, lake, clear skies etc. We decided to design a flag that could represent the culture of Wanaka.

Upper Clutha Cross Country
Today, Thursday, 11 August was the Upper Clutha Primary School Cross Country. It was held at Hawea camping ground on a beautiful sunny day.
Room 15 did extremely well in both the Year 4 races.
